Today, we held a rehearsal for the “Sports Festival”. The students took the lead in running the event and showed us how lively and dynamic they are. I was proud to see the students wearing T-shirts of their respective team colors and acting in a relaxed manner, in a place where they could show themselves to the fullest. Anyway, it was a preliminary performance where we could see that the leader students were leading the group with precise instructions. The important thing is that they are enjoying themselves and working hard to perform.

本日は1校時から19日（金）に開催します「体育祭」の予行演習を行いました。日差しは強かったのですが、湿気の少ない快晴で心配していたよりも過ごしやすく実施できました。

本校は、「体育祭」と名称変更して4回目を迎えるのですが、生徒たちが主役となり運営し、生き生きと躍動する姿の一端を見せてくれました。予行演習ですから、本番さながらとは言え、途中で先生の説明が入ったり、修正することもありました。しかし、縦割り集団がそれぞれイメージカラーのＴシャツを着て、カラフルな6色が明るく伸び伸びと演技する様子から、「自分を大いに発揮する場」として、誇らしく思いました。とにかく、リーダーの生徒たちが、的確な指示を出しながら集団を引っ張っていることが見える予行でした。

大切なのは、自分たちが楽しく、懸命に演技しているかどうかです。放送部のアナウンスに導かれ、最後はこれからの練習で本番が楽しみな「団結と絆」を意識させる「圧巻」の応援合戦でした。開会式・閉会式など、さすが、生徒たちは「礼」に始まり、「礼」に終わる態度が身についていました。今年度は、1家族1名限定ですが保護者のみなさまや育友会の方々に観覧していただけるのも楽しみです。
