On December 2nd, we held the first briefing of the high school entrance exam. Many people attended the session, and we explained about the exam (English, math, and Japanese). We have different types of entrance exams, for example, one exam requires the students take tests in two subjects, where the student can choose from either English, maths, or Japanese. After the explanation, we had separate events for students and parents. The students learned about daily school life and possible paths after graduation. For the parents, I explained about the tuition and courses, and I also presented them with the book our school principal wrote.

先週12月2日（土）は、午前中は高等学校入試説明会を開催し、午後は中学校個別相談会及びプレテストを実施しました。

多くの方々が参加くださいました入試説明会は、入試問題の傾向と対策についてご説明させていただきました。2024年度入試から導入する2教科型入試では、本校教育の特色を生かし英語を必須とし、国語と数学を選択制にしています。そこで、生徒の皆さんはどちらを選択するかも視野に入れ、メモを取りながら丁寧に聞いてくれていました。その後は、生徒と保護者に分かれていただき、生徒は学校生活・行事、本校の進路指導について、保護者は学費・特待制度・支援制度、進路等について詳しくお話しました。過去問も配付しましたので、これからの頑張りを期待しています。保護者の皆様には摺河祐彦校長の著書『教育の力、私学の力』を謹呈させていただきました。「建学の精神」に基づき、特色ある教育を推進する私立の強みをご理解いただきたく、是非ともご一読くださいませ。

説明会後、様々な質問にお応えすべく希望制で実施しました個別相談も盛況でした。午後の中学入試プレテスト「英語」は、小学生の皆さんが熱心に取り組んでくれていました。ありがとうございました。
