The second grade high school students went on a school trip to Tokyo for three nights and four days. The teacher and students swear an oath that they will take care of their health and grow as individuals, through the field trip. The student representative explained that she wanted to spend meaningful time in Tokyo. I told them that I wanted to hear compliments from people they encounted in their trip, like what polite students they were. We can imagine that they will be busy doing field work, and laughing and smiling with their friends at the amusement park. I’m looking forward to seeing them in school this Thursday.

本日より3泊4日で、高校2年生が東京方面への修学旅行を実施します。朝、JR姫路駅のコンコースで行われた出発式で、引率隊長と代表生徒の決意・宣誓を聞き、これまで計画・準備してきた日程、学習を滞りなく遂行してもらいたいという強い気持ちに駆られました。健康に留意した安全・安心な旅行はもちろん、様々な学習のなかで「成長」を感じること、進路への「向き」を見出すことの期待感を受け止めました。

代表生徒も、本校の「教養」実践の場として集団の一員としての自覚を持ち、規則正しい行動を心がけ、有意義な修学旅行にしたいという決意を述べてくれました。やはり、何と言っても、「師弟一体」「友人相和し」、高校時代の想い出の1ページとして、心に刻んでもらいたいと思います。

私は、「今どき、こんなにも礼儀正しく、マナーのよい高校生はいない」と行く先々で言葉をかけてもらえるような実践を望んでいると挨拶をしました。

SDGs社会問題探究研修ツアーも予定しており、正面から向き合い積極的にフィールドワークをする姿、テーマパークで最高の笑顔で友と過ごす姿が目に浮かんできます。皆さん、集団そして各自の目的を果たし元気に帰ってきてください。
